- CENTRAL ADVISORY ELECTIONS
The Nominating Committee of the Broward County Public Schools Central Area Advisory Council (CAAC) is now accepting nominations for CAAC Officer positions and representative roles for the 2025-2026 school year.

Elections will be held at the last meeting of the year on May 15th, 2025.
The deadline to submit a nomination is April 29th 2025; nominations will also be taken from the floor on the day of the elections.

- VOLUNTEER APPROVAL
All volunteers must complete the online application for Level 1 screening, which is available at browardschools.com/volunteer. The approval time could be one day to 2 weeks.
- SUNSHINE LAW AND ETHICS TRAINING
POLICY 1070 - DISTRICT COMMITTEES AND THEIR MEMBERSHIP requires all Advisory Committee Appointed Members to undergo an orientation and training session. First time participants and or participants retaking the training in its entirety should allocate 45 minutes to complete the session. Members who previously successfully completed the orientation and training session have the opportunity to take a brief assessment in its place and if successfully completed, will count toward meeting the requirements established by Policy 1070.
